Rabbit Vs. Chicken
Rabbit vs. Chicken 2008. The Children's Museum of Denver holds a mock election to teach kids about the democratic process. Rabbit vs. Chicken is the mock election complete with voting booths, campaign posters, character debates, civic-themed StoryTimes and an inauguration party. Each child's vote will be added to a paper chain that will hang in the Museum during the Rabbit vs. Chicken campaign so kids can see how their candidate is doing in the race. The event is held at The Children's Museum of Denver at 2121 Children's Museum Drive Denver, CO. Special campaign art projects will be held August 22nd and August 29th at 10 a.m. Election Day is August 23rd at 11 a.m. with a mock debate, StoryTimes, support your candidate activities and more. Inauguration Day is August 30th at 11 a.m. with a public announcement of the winner, dancing and crafts. Jules Feiffer - Political Cartoons, Illustrations, Drawings and Prints
Exhibition of artwork and cartoons by Jules Feiffer, the Pulitzer-prize winning comic artist. Feiffer's internationally syndicated cartoon ran for 42 years in the Village Voice. Featuring over 40 of Mr. Feiffer's contemporary prints, book illustrations and original political and humorous cartoons (dating from the 60s to a recent caricature of Barack Obama created for this show). Front Range Airport Classic Aircraft and Car Show
Watkins, CO, September 6, 2008- Front Range Airport will hold the 4th Annual Classic Aircraft and Car Show at the airport this September 6, 2008 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. in recognition of Prostate Cancer Awareness. 1st Annual Festival of the Bastardino: A Celebration of mixed heritage dogs
The Festival of the Bastardino is a celebration of mixed heritage dogs that is originally held in Italy. At Centennial Park, Englewood, CO on 9-13-08 from 10AM - 4PM There will be food, dog wash, demos, contests, dog-related businesses and is handicapped accessible! We are having this event in order to gain awareness and raise some money of our organization. Freedom Service Dogs, Inc. (FSD) is a non-profit organization that rescues dogs from shelters and trains them to assist individuals with disabilities, increasing their independence and peace of mind.
